Approximately 500 college football fans celebrated the return of their favorite game at the 5th annual Bay Area College Football Luncheon, held at the Nikko Hotel San Francisco.
Luncheon festivities, hosted by KNBR morning show host Brian Murphy, included conversations with the three Bay Area head coaches, David Shaw of Stanford, Mike MacIntyre of San Jose State and Jeff Tedford of California. Player guests included WR Keenan Allen & DB Josh Hill from Cal; LB Chase Thomas & C Sam Schwartzstein from Stanford; plus DE Travis Johnson & TE Ryan Otten from San Jose State. All six players are on various preseason "watch lists" at their respective positions. Players from each team were also interviewed as to their prospects for the upcoming 2012 season.
