More than 115 Bay Area youngsters, ages 5-14, took part in the 3rd annual Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Youth Skills Clinic.
Held at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco, the clinic featured expert instruction from college coaches at Cal, Stanford, San Jose State and City College of San Francisco. Drills included pass route running, agility, offensive & defensive line stances, kicking, punting, passing and run game technique. The day's festivities also included an appearance by Oakland Raiders wide receiver Louis Murphy. Prior to the beginning of the clinic, Murphy spoke for 25 minutes to the campers about the importance of staying in school, eating healthy meals and earning the chance to go on to college. Bowl staff conducted the day's events, in conjunction with NCAA Youth Football.
